Harris Creek College Ministry seeks to disciple College students effectively by teaching them to love God passionately, love others unconditionally, and serve the world energetically. This stage of the discipleship process will be completed with students who own their faith and are ready for the next step in life.
College students are a vital part to the life of Harris Creek, and are a large piece of our church’s identity. We believe in making disciples at every age and through every phase of life, and this includes college students in the greater Waco area. College students are at a point in life where they are beginning to transition from adolescence to adulthood and are asking questions such as, “What will I be later in life?” One of the main purposes of the college ministry is to provide opportunities for students to explore who they are in Christ, discern their calling and to help them discover who they were created to be.
We also realize that college is a point in life where students are looking to do something with their faith. The college ministry at Harris Creek wants to provide ample opportunities for students to live out their faith as well as offering numerous outlets to serve and get involved. Our goals at Harris Creek are to value college students’ presence in worship, to reach students in need that desire to be ministered to by getting involved into the life of a local congregation, and to encourage all students to give back with their unique resources.
