This meeting is for our students who have committed to attend our Spring Break trip to Haiti with Living Water International. The preparation for any mission trip to a different culture takes time on the front end. In our meeting, we will discuss issues like what we will be doing on the trip and how to conduct ourselves properly while in Haiti. The Haiti Preparation Meeting will take place Sunday, February 11, at 12:30p at the Downtown Campus offices (717 Franklin Avenue). Contact Nate Hilgenkamp for more information.
A group of our college students will head to Cap Haitien, Haiti, for an exposure trip through Living Water International. On this trip, our students will get the opportunity to build a well in a community that otherwise wouldn't have access to clean water. Furthermore, the students will teach health classes to the community, all while sharing the Good News of Jesus.
The College Ministry will be hosting an important leader from the Waco community for a Q&A session. Topics will cover faith, leadership, and the importance of growing while in college. Lunch will be provided so registration is required. Lunch with a Leader will take place Sunday, March 25, at 12:30p at the Downtown Campus offices (717 Franklin Avenue).
The Spring Retreat is the most important event the College Ministry has throughout the school year. It is a weekend to get away from campus and spend time connecting with other students while we dig into Scripture. The College Spring Retreat will take place Friday-Saturday, April 13-14, at the Gathering Oaks Retreat Center (316 Canyon Oaks Road, Crawford). Contact Nate Hilgenkamp for more information.
Life Groups are the foundation of our entire College Ministry at Harris Creek. These groups meet weekly to discuss the sermon, pray for one another, and live life on life together. If you are interested in leading a College Life Group, please email Nate Hilgenkamp in preparation for the 2018-2019 ministry year.
As final exams roll around and your stress level is at its peak, sometimes it's best to have a change of scenery. We open up the Downtown offices as a place to study, relax, and enjoy all the free food and drinks we have! The Downtown Campus offices (717 Franklin Avenue) will be open for College Study Days Monday-Tuesday, April 30-May 1, from 8a-8p, so come hang out at any time!
