Welcome! Let us introduce ourselves.
Harris Creek isn't a building,
it's a group of people.
That’s what you’ll hear us say over and over again – because it’s true! Before you call Harris Creek home, you need to know that we don’t play church here. We aren’t ok with just “coming to church on Sundays” or “playing the game of church” – instead we want to be a group of people who daily live out the calling we feel Jesus has placed on our lives. We want to be faithful, God-honoring people who love others. Harris Creek exists to help everyone follow Jesus by engaging the lost, equipping the saints, and empowering members for service.
If you’re new and trying to connect, a few practical next steps for you could be: 1. Text “harriscreek” to 97000 to receive our weekly Creek Connection (which houses all our upcoming events and helpful news updates) 2. Go to harriscreek.org/nextsteps to register for our next Membership Class and Life Group 101. 3. Follow us on social media – that’s a great place to engage with us regularly for news, encouragement, and resources.
Where are you located?
Our Sunwest Campus is positioned just off of US 84 along the McGregor/Woodway corridor, and is easily accessible to people in Waco, Hewitt, Lorena, and Crawford.
how do I choose which service to attend?
Although anyone is welcome at any of our services, we encourage college and young adults to attend our 7p service that is geared specifically to them and does not offer childcare. Families usually attend our 9a and 11a services, both of which offer full kids programming. Currently, due to Covid 19, you need to register your kids for Sunday morning – visit harriscreek.org/register.
What's your preaching like?
While Harris Creek has always been known for excellent and creative teaching, we hope that the Gospel is proclaimed clearly and passionately whenever our communicator takes the stage. Sermons will engage your heart and mind equally, and will most certainly leave you challenged! You can listen to recent sermons on our Sermons page.
Do you live stream your services?
Currently, our entire services are live streamed at 9a, 11a, and 7p. We live stream at harriscreek.org/live and on our mobile app (IOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku). After Sunday services, we post our sermons online on our Sermons page and on our mobile app.
Where do I start if I'm new at Harris Creek?
The best place to start if you’re new to Harris Creek is to attend “Starting Point” after a service. Starting Point occurs directly after each service in the lobby (look for the “Starting Point” banner). At Starting Point, you can learn more about who we are, ask questions about Harris Creek, and meet staff members. During Covid, we’ve suspended our in-person Starting Point. If you’d like to learn more about Harris Creek or have questions, email email@example.com. If you are ready to call Harris Creek your church home – go to harriscreek.org/nextsteps to learn what’s next!
