I have great news to report! With the recommendation of our search team, and based upon approval of our elders, Harris Creek Baptist Church has extended an offer to an executive pastor candidate. After much prayer and consultation with staff and leadership, David Britt accepted the call to come to Harris Creek. Psalm 135 says "Praise the name of the Lord; praise him, you servants of the Lord, you who minister in the house of our God." We praise God for bringing David to us at this strategic place in the life of our church. Feel free to check out his profile on our website! Help us welcome David and Jill to central Texas. We will continue to update you as we work with David’s church toward an effective transition. While David is helping us evaluate our structure and ministries today, He will not be on site consistently until sometime in September.
A heartfelt thanks to our executive Pastor search team: Teresa Mellon, Meredith Miars, Scott James, Wes Brooks, Mark Welstead and Brandon Oates. They have put in long hours, many prayers and lots of heart in to finding the person that God has for us. Our team did a great job. I couldn't be more proud, and more thankful for their ministry to the staff, leadership, and especially me! Be sure to thank them personally.
With anticipation,
Pastor James
