Minutes of the Board of Elders - January 8, 2009

1. A meeting of the Board of Elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was held January 8, 2009. In attendance were Senior Pastor James Tippit; Executive Pastor David Britt; Stefan LeRow, Chairman; Jim Underwood; Kirk Wakefield; Chris Holmes; Bill Killian, Chairman of the Deacon body; and Ben Selman.

2. Brother James opened the meeting in prayer.

3. The Board reviewed, and approved as written, the minutes of the prior meeting of the Board.

4. Brother James reported on the immediate past Sunday services and the continued positive comments and praise for the preaching and leadership of Brady Herbert. Technical issues regarding the sound system and the video display system and operation in the Sanctuary were discussed together with plans for resolving those issues. The Board commended the Pastoral Staff for the impact, presentation, and quality of the Sunday services. Brother James reported that the Pastoral Staff is implementing all elements of the Ministry Plan as authorized by the Congregation and is receiving positive help and response from the membership.

1. A meeting of the Board of Elders of Harris Creek Baptist Church was held December 18, 2008. In attendance were Senior Pastor James Tippit; Executive Pastor David Britt; Stefan LeRow, Chairman; Conrad Robison; Chris Holmes; and Ben Selman.

2. Brother James opened the meeting in prayer.

3. The Board reviewed, and approved as written, the minutes of the prior meeting of the Board.

4. A discussion was held regarding the first business meeting of the Church held on December 14, 2008, to discuss the ministry plan and budget for the Church for 2009. The unanimous approval of the congregation by voice vote of both the ministry plan and budget for the Church for 2009 were noted by the Board.
