We are living during a time period when many dramatic cultural shifts are taking place. Technology and advancements in science are affecting how we interact socially, how we learn intellectually, how we organize politically, how we use our resources economically, and how we relate to God spiritually. The changes are coming at such a rapid pace that it can leave us feeling overwhelmed and concerned, especially when it comes to issues regarding Christianity. While the struggles we're facing in regards to our faith might feel new and unique to our generation, history shows that the Church goes through major changes every 500 years or so. Since we find ourselves living in one of those times of major reformation, it is imperative that we put a premium on choosing to "create over reproduce" (CREATE/REPRODUCE) models of ministry. In other words, rather than reproducing old models because they are more comfortable, we want to continue to discover new and fresh ways to minister to the world.
