Merry Christmas from the Pokluda Family!

This year, Monica and I celebrated 20 years of marriage—a milestone that has deepened our gratitude for God’s faithfulness and reminded us of the ongoing work it takes to love and serve each other well. During this season, we’ve been enjoying the simple joys, like our weekly date nights after the 4PM service at Harris Creek.

As for our family, Weston (12) is always riding his skateboard and has developed a growing interest in cars and fixing things. This year, we attended our first Monster Jam (a monster truck rally) and quickly became fans of the sport! Finley will get her driver’s license next month (buckle up!) and has loved playing basketball for Midway. Presley wrapped up her senior year water polo season and is excited to begin her next adventure at Dallas Baptist University this fall. Monica remains their biggest cheerleader, never missing a game or her daily walks with Stella, our labradoodle. As a family, we enjoy the occasional pickleball match, love our neighbors, and cherish impromptu hangs with them.

We’ve now been in Waco for six years, and it feels more like home than ever. Pastoring Harris Creek continues to be a joy, especially now that our closest friends, John and Laura Elmore, have moved here to join us in ministry. Serving alongside them at this amazing church has been a dream, and the Lord continues to bless our staff with gifted leaders and ministers of The Gospel.

This past year, I had the privilege of participating in Unite Us,where we shared the gospel with over 70,000 college students. We witnessed thousands give their lives to Jesus and get baptized—an experience I will never forget!

Looking ahead to January, I’ll have the honor of speaking at Passion and would be so grateful for your prayers as I prepare. Later that month, my newest book on spiritual warfare, Your Story Has a Villain, releases on January 28. Writing it was a real challenge, but I believe it could be the most helpful book I’ve worked on yet.

This Christmas, as we celebrate the Savior’s birth, we’re reminded of His goodness and grace in every season. From our family to yours, we pray you experience the peace and joy that only Christ can bring.

With love,
Team Pokluda
