OUR MISSION

The Youth Ministry of Harris Creek exists to help students take ownership of their faith.

About Youth Ministry

It is the Youth Ministry’s goal to create a ministry that helps middle school and high school students take ownership of their faith. What do students who own their faith look like? They are individuals who have an intimate relationship with God, a deep love for others, and a heart of service for the world around them. This happens when students see God’s activity in and around their lives, and they decide to participate with God in His activity.

On-Going Events

Mountaintop

Throughout the Bible, people encountered God on the mountaintop: Moses received the Ten Commandments on it, the glory of God was revealed to the Israelites on it, David worshipped on it, and Jesus taught from it many times. We want Mountaintop to be a place where students encounter the Living God and are changed by that experience. Through weekly worship, teaching, and Life Group, our prayer is that Mountaintop is a place where students can connect with God and each other, so that they can live the rest of their week differently, engaging with God and the city around them. Mountaintop is a weekly worship experience on Sunday nights for youth, from 6-8p. Bring $2 for pizza and bring your friends!

Life Group

We believe every person in the Body of Christ needs to be in an intentional community, which is why every student in our Youth Ministry is placed in a life group! Life groups are split by age and gender and meet for the last 45 minutes of Mountaintop. Once a month we have Life Group Nights instead of Mountaintop where each group spends the entire 2 hours building community, middle school groups at the church and high school groups at host homes.

Integrate

As kids get older the message doesn't change but the approach must! Integrate is our program for 5th and 6th graders and during Integrate students can expect games, teaching, and small group time that engages them in an age-appropriate way. We desire for this to be an engaging time for students to grow in community and grow in their relationships with God! Integrate takes place during both Sunday morning services at Sunwest Campus.

Sunday Services

We want our youth to be able to worship alongside our church community as a whole. Therefore, we encourage youth to attend one of our main worship service on Sunday mornings with their family and friends.

At Harris Creek, we believe in discipling the next generation of leaders. This is an internship program designed to develop and equip individuals in various concentrations for ministry.
